So, we did something about it.

Recycled
After years of blood, sweat, and thousands of emails with our manufacturer, we’ve finally done it: activewear made with 70% recycled fabrics in sizes 8-18 — a range we’re working hard to expand every day. -
Certified
All Alitah State products are made (with love!) in small batches, from sustainable, high quality fabrics like ECONYL®—a regenerated nylon made from fishing nets and other planet-harming waste. Our eco-friendly DyStar and Huntsman colourants have a conscience too, and are all OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 Certified. -
Packaging
As for your parcel? We skip swing tags, ditch unboxing bits and wrap in biodegradable packaging, so you feel good in your skin, while doing good for our planet.
We preach ethics.
Our first stop was to find a manufacturer that stood by our high maintenance ethics. What can we say? It was a lesson in never giving up. Today, Alitah State is proudly made in beautiful Bali, at a manufacturer that supports its workers, and causes close to our heart.

The Team
For starters, it was crucial our manufacturing team felt cared for.
All employees are paid well above minimum wage with 13 months salary every year, and two months’ wages for a vacation of up to 25 days.
They receive free medical insurance for themselves and their families, covering doctor’s fees, prescriptions and hospital visits.
Every lunch break, employees enjoy a glass of fresh juice, a hot cooked meal and vitamin supplements.
Overtime is always optional, and paid at a rate of 1.5 and 3 times the hourly rate.
The work areas are air-conditioned and offer facilities comparable to western workplaces.
Bali Street Mums
We also support Bali Street Mums, a local charity that aims to rehabilitate children and their mothers living on the streets. The program provides children with clothes and toiletries, and paves a pathway towards school.
